The Schenectady ARC has watched its outdoor seating area blown away or ripped apart 3 times in the last 3 years. Help us create a safe, permanent, accessible pavilion where the consumers of the Schenectady ARC can enjoy the outdoors.
Checks are payable to the Schenectady County Chamber Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation. Donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.

Electric City Boogaloo

Electric City Boogaloo: An Iconic Art Show Plugged into Schenectady’s Eclectic, Electric Grid. Electric City Boogaloo is a collaboration of work by husband and wife artists Vincent and Fran Giordano. The show explores innovation and whimsical constructs within popular culture. Fran’s paintings of Robots are a retro-futuristic vision of modern mediocrity exploring the joys of day-to-day life. Vincent’s photo illustrations of light bulbs meld human nature and human innovation, exploring popular culture as it applies to modern invention.

The Katbird Shop Juried Art Show and Sale

Non Refundable $30 for up to 3 works no larger than 48” in any direction. 25% commission taken on sales.
All work must be framed or mounted for hanging.
Submissions of 2D media will be taken at the Katbird shop at 425 Liberty St., Schenectady, February 23nd-25th, during shop hours 10 AM-6 PM.
Entries will be selected and judged on originality, technique and composition.
Show will run March 1st -31st with cash awards announced at the reception March 6th 1pm-3pm.
Cash prizes 1st place $100, 2nd place $75, and 3rd $50 People’s Choice award $25

You can support the mission of the Schenectady
Military Affairs Council (SMAC) by making a minimal annual donation. Your dollars will be utilized to promote community awareness of the base and its employees, not only as serving our state, nation and world, but as our neighbors – working, living and contributing locally.
Donors will receive a commemorative SMAC challenge coin, a certificate of appreciation, window decal and a color 8x10 photo of the LC-130 Hercules.
